Our client is a specialist in innovative automation and electrical solutions. The company provides turnkey control systems for F&B, material handlings, and packaging industries from simple machine to complex production lines.

They design, supply, install, commission and support Material/Product Handling solutions, Building Management, Security and CCTV systems, Industrial Freezing and Chilling, Automated Batch Process software and RFID based 'track and trace' solutions.


Automation & Controls Systems Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automation and Controls Systems Engineer to join a great team and be involved using leading edge technology on world class projects.

Our client is a specialist in innovative automation and electrical solutions. The company provides turnkey control systems for F&B, material handlings, and packaging industries from simple machine to complex production lines.

They design, supply, install, commission and support Material/Product Handling solutions, Building Management, Security and CCTV systems, Industrial Freezing and Chilling, Automated Batch Process software and RFID based 'track and trace' solutions.

 These systems involve Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Speed Drives, Servo Drives, Fieldbus Network, Machine Vision, Robotics and SCADA HMI interfaces.

Skills and experience required include,

* Experience in industrial automation sector, preferably in dairy, food manufacturing, building or materials handling, in both service and project environments

* Experience developing functional descriptions and documentation as per company standards

* Allen Bradley and Omron PLC programming experience

* SCADA HMI programming and Wonderware Intouch System platform

* Variable Speed Drives, Servo Drives; Machine vision systems

* On-site installation, configuration and commissioning 

* Service delivery and support experience

To be considered for this role, you will

Have minimum   3+ years in PLC programming
Qualifications in Mechatronics, Electrical or is electrical trade qualified
Have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
Be highly motivated with good customer service skills
Work well in a team environment
Whilst work will primarily be based in Auckland, some travel including out-bound travel may be required.

Applicant for this position should have NZ residency or a valid work visa.
